Stoughton Village Players Theater

The Stoughton Village Players offer residents of Stoughton and the surrounding communities the opportunity to produce, star in, and experience local theater. They were founded in 1972 and have produced over 70 comedies, dramas, musicals and some shows that defy description. Today they present three to four productions a year, including the annual Syttende Mai play written by Village Players members.

Stoughton Opera House

Originally called the City Auditorium, the theatre first opened in 1901. For over 50 years, it hosted cultural experiences from operas, musical productions, minstrel, and theater. Plaster, carpets, floor lights, dressing room paints, a backstage filled with signatures from past performers, and the latest state of the art equipment combine to make the Stoughton Opera House a beautiful mix of Victorian modern and historic elements.
